Cross Training is defined as performing training
routines that involve several different forms of
exercise that will condition different muscles groups,
develop new skills and provide variety so as to
minimize the chance of boredom. Cross training can
provide you with better overall fitness and has
been found to decrease the chance of repetitive
or overuse injuries as well. Typically, cross training
involves exercises that include cardiovascular work,
strength training, flexibility, speed, agility and
balance drills.
